WHO'S WHO IN CULTURE CHANGE

We've moved our popular "Who's Who in Culture Change" series from our weblog to a more permanent home here on our site. In this section you will find, in no particular order, a catalog of many integral and influential people in the Culture Change movement. But instead of the standard dry biographies, we give each person a chance to tell a personal story. Communities are made rich by the uniqueness and idiosyncracies of the people in them, and the Culture Change community is no exception. Enjoy!

The top left picture is of me with a pair of cheetah cubs at the Nairobi National Orphanage. These cubs were rescued when their mother was killed on the Masai Mara. I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to interact with them when I went to the orphanage.

The picture on the right shows me in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where I went on a trek in search of Mountain Gorillas. In the background you can see a big male silverback lying down.

The third picture is of the silverback male's face as he was getting up from his rest.

And that's how I spent my summer vacation ;)

An interior designer, Migette Kaup has studied the impact of design on privacy and has written a paper "Reshaping Behaviors in Nursing Homes by Reshaping Nursing Home Architecture: A Case Study in the the Investigation of Change. She is also the author of an article, based on that work, published in the Culture Change Now Magazine, Volume III, entitled "Exploring the Impact of the Built Environment on Culture Change - Is it the Place or the the Policy that Makes the Difference?"
