Courses are best formed with a small group (2 to 6 participants), that will work independently online, and gather to discuss their online work 1-2 times a month (at a minimum) for 30-60 minutes along with a mentor from leadership. We have found this encourages real effort resulting in progress as they learn from each other and their mentor. And to the organization's benefit, it keeps the leadership abreast of operational issues and individual learning needs.
